Webinars & Seminars

The CFGI team works hard to deliver the latest information and analysis on employment-based immigration policies directly to our members. To support this effort, we host a regular series of webinars and professional development events on U.S. and global immigration topics.

Webinar Program

The CFGI Webinar Program is designed for CFGI members, who are primarily in-house immigration professionals representing leading companies, universities, and research institutions operating globally. Any qualified immigration professional, including but not limited to CFGI members, can propose a webinar. We specifically seek presentations that will help professionals navigate the rapidly changing regulatory landscape in the U.S. and globally. Preference will be given to sessions that include at least one in-house immigration professional as a speaker.

SHRM Seminar “Global Hiring: Complying with U.S. Visa Requirements” (April 16-17, 2018, Alexandria, VA) covers concepts and principles in-house immigration professionals need to know when recruiting and retaining global high-skilled talent. You will gain the knowledge of U.S. immigration laws and regulations and essential skills required to identify and define key considerations when hiring or retaining a foreign national.

Pre-Symposium Workshop "Introduction to U.S. Employment-Based Visa Management" (June 10, 2018, Arlington, VA) is the perfect opportunity for those new to the immigration field to learn the essentials for employment-based immigration, and it is a great refresher for more experienced immigration professionals. Look for more information about the 2018 workshop later this year.
