Ultimately, the solution must strengthen our economy and improve the security of our immigration system. “CFGI and SHRM support fair, innovative and competitive immigration solutions that build the future workforce, including solutions that address long green-card backlogs and do not cut legal immigration. With ultra-low unemployment, more jobs openings than unemployed individuals and a severe skills gap, Congress must enact a solution for DACA recipients and DACA eligible individuals who are educated in the United States, working here and serving in our military. Congress and the administration should work swiftly toward solutions to provide certainty for men, women and families who contribute to our nation’s economy, universities and communities.”Media:For more information or to request an interview, contact Vanessa Hill at Vanessa.Hill@shrm.org and 703-535-6072 or Sundra Hominik at Sundra.Hominik@shrm.org and 703-535-6273.
