03/01/2017 – The Office of International Affairs at the University of Chicago is currently seeking an International Student Adviser.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, advising F-1 and J-1 international students about visas, immigration, and a wide range of academic, financial and personal matters; serving as a Designated School Official and Alternate Responsible Officer for the F-1 and J-1 programs; and helping to coordinate a range of immigration and immigration-related workshops and other events throughout the year.  The candidate should have a minimum of one year of work experience at an institution of higher education.  The candidate must also have U.S. Citizenship or permanent resident status as required by federal law.
