The Introduction to U.S. Employment-Based Visa Management workshop is the perfect opportunity for those new to the immigration field to learn the essentials for employment-based immigration, and it is a great refresher for more experienced immigration professionals.

Learning objectives:
  • Define key immigration terms and concepts
  • Identify the role and purpose of key government agencies influencing employment-based immigration
  • Identify key laws, regulations and other guidance that governs employment-based immigration system
  • Explain employer responsibilities for U.S. employment verification
  • Identify when to use immigrant and non-immigrant visas
  • Comply with federal laws and regulations associated with temporary and permanent employment of foreign professionals
  • Recognize various non-immigrant visa options available based on the applicant’s background and the prospective job opening
  • Select various immigrant visa options available based on country of origin and category

Registration:
Attendees may register for either the workshop only or in combination with their Symposium registration at a discounted rate. Registration is required to participate in this pre-conference workshop.

Logistics: 
The workshop will take place at Crystal Gateway Marriott. Breakfast will be provided at 8 am. Lunch will also be provided.
