CFGI / U.S. Immigration / Our Advocacy / Policy Recommendations ACIP Updates Congressional August Recess Talking Points on Trusted Employer 8/8/2013 Other Updates Page Content ACIP and many of our members are continuing to urge that the House pass meaningful immigration reform legislation this year. We believe it is still possible for Congress to find a way to align our immigration system with the realities of today’s global economy, address the concern of undocumented migration, and provide humanitarian relief for families and refugees. As a part of our call for meaningful immigration reform, please take a look at our new Trusted Employer fact sheet, a proposal that is currently included in the House SKILLS Visa Act (H.R. 2131), but was unfortunately left out of the Senate’s comprehensive immigration reform bill (S. 744). We ask that you educate your House Representative on the Trusted Employer provision included in H.R. 2131 over August recess by using this new fact sheet, as we continue to encourage a debate in the House that could lead to a discussion on a final immigration bill.
