CFGI Recommends Rescinding DOJ Regulation in Public Comment


‚ÄčIn response to a Department of Justice request for comments on regulatory reform, CFGI and its affiliate SHRM recommended rescission of a regulation that defines various terms related to unfair immigration-related employment practices, including an expansion of the definition of intentional discrimination, and other regulatory provisions, regarding the Special Counsel's investigation of unfair immigration-related employment practices.

CFGI and SHRM, along with a coalition, previously commented on the drawbacks of the proposed rule, and CFGI and SHRM separately commented on the vast underestimate of the burden of the rule on employers. The rule was finalized with minimal changes.
